Retreat

Wednesday, April 5, is the annual All School Retreat. This year’s theme is: And God saw that it was very, very Good: God and the Universe tell our Evolutionary Story. Our hope for the day is to celebrate the divine creativity and illuminate both the transcendence and the immanence of God. We have worked in conjunction with several academic departments to help students perceive the amazing relationship they each have with God, the Universe, and each other.
Students, faculty, and staff will participate in a day of faith-filled activities and workshops centered on eco-spirituality and environmental issues. Titles include Earth, Our Healer; Human Goodness and God’s Creation; A Franciscan View of Creation; Qigong; Connected to Christ; Making Creation Stories; Nature - God’s Artwork; Greening Your Home; Eco-Shopping; Ecological Dilemmas; Native American Stories of Creation; and Water, Sacred and Profaned.
The day
concludes with the celebration of the Sacrament of the Eucharist with Msgr. Ray

I am grateful to our Campus Ministers and the entire All-School Retreat Committee (students, teachers, and staff) for coordinating the unique educational experience this year and for the past seven years. God bless you all for your support of Holy Cross in so many ways.
